Here I will run through how i make a piped cushion cover. For this cover I wanted to add some contrast so have also made it a colour block with a plain and stripe co-ordinating fabric.
For this cushion I used Burford Honey and Witney Honey

Plan your cuts
For a 50cm square cushion pad I have cut the fabric pieces with a 1.5 cm hem for the piping and joining.
Click for a time lapse of cutting the fabric
Overlock or zig zag all of the raw edgers and Join the two contrasting cuts with a 1.5cm hem allowance
cut bias binding from a one of the fabrics or a contrasting fabric to make the piping
I used a beige coloured continuous zipper which is good value and can be cut to the size you require
Sew all raw edges together and turn
